 DQ*Plus has connectors for all of the major SQL/relational databases. These connectors eliminate the burden of having to develop custom integration code and ensure the fastest deployment possible.
Application Aware Connectors
DQ*Plus connects to your database using JDBC. DQ*Plus interrogates the data dictionaries of these databases and makes available all tables and fields for use in data quality rule definition. The DQ*Plus user interface allows you to easily define relationships between tables so that DQ*Plus can navigate those relationships for you. This enables the use of any combination of tables and fields in a data quality business rule.
Batch and Persistent
DQ*Plus provides automated cleansing of your database. In batch mode, DQ*Plus cleans your data based on a schedule that you define. In Persistent mode, DQ*Plus monitors your database and cleans each record as it is touched. With Persistent processing, your data is constantly clean.
Java and Web Services APIs
DQ*Plus provides Java and Web Services APIs that can be used to embed data quality functionality in your custom applications or integrations. Common uses of these APIs include address correction and validation in web interfaces, and record search and prevention of duplicate record entry in automated integration functions (e.g. copying orders from an ERP system to a CRM system).
